Frida Aint Coming

Sweden is drowning in a major snow chaos, thousands of travelers are stranded. Frida is one of them. Although the flight from Stockholm to Switzerland seems to leave (only delayed), it doesnt help since Stockholm closed it's gates for arriving inland flights, so Frida (and the clothes) didnt have a chance to make it from Umea to Stockholm. This day sucks.

If you couldn't already tell I'm at odds with the digital world. I was also thinking about shutting down this blog completely, then after some long thinking I realized that that just really would not be me, having had a internet connection for as long as I can remember I want to have some kind of online diary. So I thought about starting new, getting a tumblr seemed like a nice idea. But this old blog and me have been together for a long time and after some more thinking I came to the conclusion that I do not want to run away from it. So.. we will see what happens here but for now I actually feel like sharing small moments and images that I come across in real life with the digital life, just maybe a little bit more conscious than before. It will be like me reflecting over the day that has passed, someone said. I like that idea.

Four Course Menu

Roasted pilgrim clams on fresh aspargus and bacon with an avocado dip. Served with Pinot Gris Réserve 2009, France.


Filet de boef with in butter roasted potatoe cake and a homemade béarnaise sauce. Served with Mediterra 2008, Italy.


Plate with four different cheeses, fig marmalade, in honey roasted walnuts and some pear slices. (It was so good that I forgot to take a picture until it almost was too late)

Oh My..

..God! As tired as I was, flying this early (again! Why am I never learning NOT to book the first flight?!), it was so beautiful! Would like to start all my days like this. (Minus the early alarm clock, minus the heavy baggage and minus the stressed business guys on the plane)

So now I'm here.. Hello Switzerland.

Yes, this is how my everyday life looks like at the moment - since the fashion show at Kostym during Umea Fashion Wknd 2010 my best friends are the cutting mat and my sewing machines. Oh, and online streaming tv series websites of course.

Had a blogger kinda night. Wonderful. Very happy that I dared the snow storm/antarctic weather (in my sky high wedges!..well at least for wintertime) and went for a glass of wine (or two). Yay! Off to bed now. A lot of sewing is waiting for me tomorrow.

Downtown Dangers

I'm (like almost all bloggers at the moment) really into the long skirt thing. The biggest problem seemed to be to keep it exactly those 5mm over ground so it won't get dirty.. Until I got stuck in an escalator! It was like a bad hollywood comedy, just the slightly cheesy, slightly funny music in the background was missing. Good thing I had Frida with me and she ran into a store and got the key to turn off that escalator that was so determined to undress me!

Now that happend just after lunch and I had two more meetings that day. So I walked around looking like a dog had attacked me. Edgy.
