Gotta take a picture while my nails still are whole. They gonna look like I've digged in the garden in about a day again - because that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow. White layer underneath, black IsaDora cracking nailpolish on top.

Also couldn't shake the feeling that I'm kinda naked.. Then it got me - I forgot my rings today! Scandalous!

Time for a restart.

Ice + Rain + Heels = Dangerous

I refuse to give up and put my heels away until May.. because that is how long the streets here are gonna be covered in permanent ice and snow again. So yesterday I took my brand new wedges for a run to the busstation. In snowrain. On a ice covered street. In complete darkness. If I can master that without falling I think the next step must be to try this in Alexander McQueen SS 2010 shoes!

Got the wedges last Monday when Scorett opened their Umea-store. Which was crazyness. While I was trying on the grey Acne look-a-likes (who weren't looking as good in real as I hoped for plus I would have to color them black anyway), someone actually took the shoes I came with and wanted to try them on. Insanity. I also walked into one of their gigantic mirrors. They are too new and clean. Anyway, the wedges I bought are perfect height, super easy to walk in and close to a Rick Owens kinda feeling.

Yesterday I Ate Chocolate..

..Like I'm not doing that every day, ha! Anyway, the release party for Johanna N's new jewellery line "LND-UME" at Schmäck Kompaniet was really nice and cosy. They were having free chocolate (hooray), goodie bags (hooray) and beautiful jewellery. I already saw something (yes, a new ring) that has to find a new home on my hand, but they unfortunately had run out of silver and only had gold left, so I'm gonna have to wait a few more days and order it over the webstore.

Besides that it was great to see some of the local blog-faces and finally do some catching up from the weekend. The feedback for Kostym was absolutely amazing and I could really feel my batteries recharge.. with chocolate and compliments, nice!

Nathalie and Petter / Emma, Anna and Therez. Next time I really gotta take a close-up from Nathalies hands/fingers. This girl got an impressive collection of rings!

Release Party

And another jewellery release party! Hope I'm gonna find myself a new ring tonight, I really like the animal inspired ones that JohannaN is having. Also looking forward to see some of the local bloggers again and maybe catch up a bit better after the fashion weekend, was first too stressed to do that during the days and then a bit to tipsy after a glas of wine at the afterparty.

Roadtrip

Winter and me aren't best buddies. I actually didn't really know how far up north Umea was when I moved here (like higher than Moscow, doh!), but I'm gonna make sure to pick up an atlas next time I move to check if they have seven months of snow every year there as well. For someone who doesn't like winter-sports but is keen on highheels snow is just pure poison. AND YES I KNOW THAT SWITZERLAND IS HAVING SNOW AS WELL (as everyone up here is anwering suprised when they get to know that I don't like snow), but not seven months a year. Not even close.

This morning we took a roadtrip to Vindeln, that's like 600 kilometer north/inland (aka the wrong direction). Even more snow there, but also sun. And I really liked it. What a beautiful morning. And almost complete wilderness. Although Andreas made sure to tell me that this ain't wilderness at all compared to the mountain area six hours north from here ("you can die if you have car problems and don't have thermo-pants with you").

Anyway, beautiful. In about one month there wont be any light left here during the days, so gotta enjoy it while it lasts.

It's over! Or not, the real work starts now kind of. But I have carefully been nurturing a gastric ulcer the last couple of days, so the only thing on my schedule until Wednesday night is sleep.

Everyone is asking how it went (answer: GREAT!) and for pictures and I really havent gotten any yet, but here are some that I found on some of the many blogs who have been writing about Kostym. The nicest I so far have read about my clothes was "Sara Burkhard: Fantastiskt och futuristiskt". Nice!

No, I dont know why I look so troubled. I bet the photographer had one million other pictures to choose from.. but he liked this one. Im really happy with the rest though - a whole site in City Nöjesmagasinet for Kostym! Nice.

These Days

I have had the house to myself the last couple of days. With Kostym, the fashion event I'm organizing, coming up it has been..hectic to say the least. Don't know how often I've turned down my parents for a Skype. The last days have been too many meetings, too much fabric cutting, too much online series watching. (Loving every bit of it though of course)

Oh, and fabric dying.



And the girls were trying to help with everything.


Still finding the time to eat something nice. (Once a day)
